Macro Value had previously acquired similar stores in Malaysia for RM125 million.<\/p><p>Cold Storage and Giant compete with local supermarket chains such as FairPrice (164 stores) and Sheng Siong (77 outlets). Following the sale, DFI plans to focus on its Guardian and 7-Eleven operations in Singapore, which currently include:<\/p><ul><li>Cold Storage: 48 stores + 2 distribution centres<\/li><li>Giant: 41 stores<\/li><li>7-Eleven: 420 outlets<\/li><li>Guardian: expanding network<\/li><li>Sheng Siong: 77 outlets<\/li><li>FairPrice: 164 outlets<\/li><\/ul><p>DFI\u2019s expatriate CEO cited rising rental costs in Singapore as a key factor in the decision.
