SIT Graduates to Receive Transcript of Transferable Skills

Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) is taking a progressive step beyond traditional academic grading by introducing a Record of Transferable Skills (RTS) for its graduates.

The RTS documents students’ mastery of 18 key transferable skills, including problem-solving, creative thinking, and adaptability. These skills are aligned with the World Economic Forum’s “Top In-Demand Skills” as highlighted in the 2023 Future of Jobs report.

Students are introduced to these 18 skills upon enrolment, allowing them to track their projected skill development throughout the 3- to 4-year course of study. The RTS serves as a comprehensive record that complements academic transcripts, providing employers with a clear view of graduates’ practical and workplace-ready capabilities.
